Superseded?
editIs this still the main FAQ page or is it superseded? Seems abandoned, but is linked prominently from the base page. --Nemo 11:28, 17 July 2014 (UTC)
- Hm, one month, I guess it's abandoned. Unlinked it for now. --Nemo 12:37, 14 August 2014 (UTC)
- It's a bit ironic that I only noticed this question now, but the FAQ page itself is definitely the right one. There just aren't a lot of reasons to maintain too frequently. --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 09:49, 15 September 2016 (UTC)
Delete finished translation
editHow can I delete my translation, when it has been finished? ZJ (talk) 15:22, 10 May 2016 (UTC)
- What do you mean with finished? Did you create a wiki page? Do you mean [1] and do you want to delete that article, or what else? Nemo 15:27, 10 May 2016 (UTC)
Translation lost
editI spent several hours to translate an article in the German Wikipedia into Dutch. When I clicked on Publish an error message was shown saying that something went wrong. Now I cannot go back to my translation. It says that I have to start all over again. Please help. Rwbest (talk) 13:22, 25 August 2016 (UTC)
"Add Translation" stopped working
editI started translating english > greek a long article. In the first 1/3rd of the artilce everything worked fine, but after a certain point, by pressing the "Add Translation" button I only get the english text. How can I restore this? Also, if by mistake I erase a block of translation, the "Add Transl" button disappears. How can I re-translate the lost block? Thanks.
- Skylax30, can you please check that "Yandex" is selected in the "Automatic translation" card ("Αυτόματη μετάφραση") in the sidebar?
- Also, it's better to ask such things at Talk:CX. --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 09:54, 15 September 2016 (UTC)
Thanks. Yes, it seems that it has to do with Yandex selection.--Skylax30 (talk) 20:44, 16 September 2016 (UTC)
- Hi, in general, maybe it is an idea to change the wording "add translation". Originally, I thought that it means "add an automatic translation", instead it means "you can add your translation her". Ziko (talk) 19:24, 13 May 2017 (UTC)

I added new question to Content translation/Documentation/FAQ
editI added new question Content translation tool freezes when I push the PUBLISH button. How can I escape from this state ? How can I ensure that the situation does not recur for the same article ? to Content translation/Documentation/FAQ. According to Talk:Content_translation, it will be the most asked question. If there is any evidence that it is not so, please write it here. Or, please write your know-how there.--HaussmannSaintLazare (talk) 14:29, 14 March 2020 (UTC)
Pop-ups
editHow can I get rid (on the Dutch Wikipedia with Monobook skin) of the annoying pop-up? I have switched it of but with every new page I opne, that pop-up shows up again. The Banner (talk) 19:15, 3 May 2021 (UTC)
Can we translate the page?
edit Done case closed.
Hi, while ja community is denying machine translation on CX2 at the moment, could we internationalize this page? Understanding the function might open doors in the long run. Of course depending on language sets, source and target, many language community will benefit with s good FAQ like this one IMHO. Cheers, —Omotecho (talk) 01:15, 25 March 2023 (UTC)

request for FAQ page rereading and date maintenance
edit1. check dates particularly for section What is CX2? (and following) "As of October 2018, CX2 is still in development..."
2. also align URL not found in
"In this particular case as well, we are using an [$url open source client] to interact..."
where $url stands for -> https://github.com/wikimedia/mediawiki-services-cxserver/blob/master/mt/Yandex.js
Can someone reread the page and reactualize the dates (or redirect to target pages) please. Thanks. — Christian 🇫🇷 FR (talk) 10:25, 18 June 2023 (UTC)

editGood to know this wikicode has a section declared inside.
== Glossary == <!--T:323--> </translate> <section begin=glossary/> <<<<======== ; <translate><!--T:324--> annotation ... : <translate><!--T:378--> Listing of all translations of a user. A new translation can also be started from here.</translate> <section end="glossary" /> <<<<======== <translate> == Content translation tool freezes....
Dictionaries and Translation Memory
editThe article discusses two features/tools: Dictionaries and Translation Memory.
However, it appears that these features have been removed from the CX extension. Can you confirm this? Is there a way to reactivate them? Thanks. ForzaGreen (talk) 22:16, 8 May 2024 (UTC)
- Neither of them have ever been implemented in Content Translation. There are ideas of exploring translation memory integration via MinT: https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T351748 Nikerabbit (talk) 10:28, 14 May 2024 (UTC)
