Requested user-rights: Administrator and Translation administrator.

I would like to be an administrator and translation administrator to release translations and block vandals... I could also delete, restrict or unrestrict pages if necessary...

@Shirayuki, @Wladek92 maybe you can also vote... I would really like to be a translation administrator...

@Shirayuki I'm getting the hang of it... Justman10000 (talk) 22:32, 31 October 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Respect existing translations. -- Shirayuki (talk) 22:20, 3 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@Shirayuki Mistakes happen, moreover, I could too always revert or correct.... Justman10000 (talk) 20:00, 9 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
And how am I supposed to respect them? If anything are wrong? Justman10000 (talk) 20:01, 9 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Most changed pages are marked for translation within a day, do you still need to be a translation administrator? -- Shirayuki (talk) 21:30, 9 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Not always! As already mentioned above, it was several days there! Justman10000 (talk) 23:29, 10 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@Shirayuki @Wladek92 @Taavi @* Pppery * @Bawolff @Clump

So, I have thought about the following... Since especially @Shirayuki and @Taavi are so worried... For fun I had created a local MediaWiki instance on a local VM... There I could experiment with the markup of the translations, before I transfer it here... Would be okay? For the most part I already understand the system... — Preceding unsigned comment added by User:Justman10000 (talkcontribs)

  • It is ok to do anything you want to your own system, so I assume you are asking whether this changes anyone's mind on translation admin rights. Being capable is important, but so is providing a valid justification. Feel free to address the former, but the latter does not seem to exist, and a continuing campaign to acquire extra rights for no clear reason comes across as hat collecting, and hurts your case more than it helps. --Clump (talk) 16:07, 1 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
What I meant is that I could get the rights here and experiment a bit on my local instance.... Then I could transfer it to MediaWiki....
@Shirayuki has said that I sometimes mess up the markup.... Well, that wouldn't be anymore... Especially since I've had some experience, as mentioned before....
The thing is, I wouldn't have to wait for someone to release my changes for translation, because at some point I don't feel like it either!
Another reason... Well... You'd just have to look at my translation histories.... Not exactly few... Justman10000 (talk) 18:22, 1 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I don't want to beg or anything, but without the rights there is just no motivation.... Justman10000 (talk) 18:23, 1 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Hi, I'm the author of the Extension:AccessControl, which you translate in last time into German – thank you about it! And I also have the rights to mark pages for translation, but I don't usually mark pages with my own changes. You can prepare page to mark, it's no problem, but marking is not only question experiences. I prepared in my wiki a more than thousand pages for translate. But I respect MediaWiki regulamins, whatever sometime contraproductive, by my mind. If you need mark any page, try write me please. -- Want (talk) 11:49, 11 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Have I gladly translated 🙂! But I would be happy about a support, as I mentioned before, otherwise just lacks motivation! And let's be honest.... It is frustrating not to say repulsive to always have to wait for approvements or contact others about it.... Justman10000 (talk) 11:59, 21 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@Aaron Schulz What mean you? Justman10000 (talk) 10:47, 23 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@Clump @Taavi @Bawolff @Shirayuki @Wladek92 @Aaron Schulz @* Pppery *

So, again, to summarize...

- @Shirayuki gladly resets my edits, because I should respect already existing translations.... However, as already mentioned, NO edits should then be made, which is simply impossible! In principle, a translator must expect that his translations become obsolete! Moreover, one can learn that with the markup! Which is already the case for me for the most part
- @* Pppery * meant that I should know how to make requests for rights correctly here.... But why? What does that have to do with a translation administrator? Besides, it's to forget such things even if one knows them!
- @Taavi still has not answered my question! What technical processes?
- @Clump said, one does not see why I need these rights! Again... I'm sick of my translations that are **allegedly** unnecessary being reset instead of just being published! Besides, I always have to wait when my translations are published!

Once again, @Bawolff had also agreed! In addition one has nevertheless an overview as TA, where one sees, if something should be wrong in the markup... In addition, the motivation is otherwise simply missing, it is otherwise hardly fun! Supporting the community should be fun, right?

I really want to help here, but this can not be done if every change I make is reset! Be it because it is **offer unnecessary**, existing translations become obsolete or ect! Justman10000 (talk) 15:30, 24 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
