In the coming weeks the WMF is launching Media Viewer, the new tool for a richer and more fulfilling media experience, out of Beta features and turned on by default on Wikimedia projects.

To help provide the best tool possible, Media Viewer will have a survey link attached to it during the roll-out to get feedback from readers and community members about how the tool can be made better. If you have time, please work on localizing this survey so that we can best support everyone and not just English-speaking communities.

Apply for translation admin flag and avail the new tool Special:PageMigration

Hi Fabsouza1,

I see that you are quite active translating messages :) Under Google Summer of Code, I have been working on the mass migration tools project, and with the help of my mentors, we have have managed to have a tool for importing old translations. The tool is now live on MediaWiki at Special:PageMigration but accessible to only translation adminstrators. Please apply for the translation admin flag and test out the new feature which will ease up your work for sure. Later, if you find some bugs, please report them! Thanks! Translating Extension:VisualEditor

Hey,

In these edits you made Extension:VisualEditor translatable, but unfortunately because the Translate extension hasn't been re-written yet, this completely breaks editing the page with VisualEditor. Consequently I'm going to revert this change. Sorry!

Invalidating translations for markup changes

Please don't do this. :( You just invalidated all my carefully imported translations. Please refrain from doing markup changes on already-translated units, and/or check the "Do not invalidate" checkboxes when you do so. --Nemo 13:48, 9 August 2014 (UTC)

PageMigration can do very little damage compared to a single click to mark pages for translation. :-) Just remember that the checkboxes for non-invalidation are there to be used and you'll do great. --Nemo 16:44, 9 August 2014 (UTC)

"External links" translation

Hi,

You've translated "External links" recently as "Links Externos" but previusly as "Ligações externas". It would be important to keep the translation consistent.

I think "Ligações externas" is the correct one.

Are you sure about this, this this, and this.

I don't speak German, but I've first checked translatewiki.net (see plural and singular suggestions) and de.wikipedia (see "externe links" and "Externe Verbindungen" searches). Although translate.google.com is on your side :)

Off Topic: What happend here? I think it would be a great idea to have a glossary of messages which are use a lot in many languages so anyone can translate without knowing much of a language. What do you think? Where we should post such glossary?

@Macofe: This is my glossary, where I have some default titles and sub-titles to make translations easier. I deleted 'cause I've added other messages. As for translations in German, they can be reverted, even though I checked in dictionaries and both forms are correct. I also believe that there are absolutely standard texts for these cases. But I can revert and return to old form.
