I'd like to do some category adding with this bot. The targets are pages found in Special:UncategorizedPages that can be placed in an existing category. It will be running the latest version AutoWikiBrowser, so it is running supervised. —Mainframe98 talk 18:10, 5 March 2017 (UTC)
- A few test edits are usually appreciated. Nemo 17:21, 3 June 2017 (UTC)
- Embarrassing that I didn't think of that myself. Will do a test run. —Mainframe98 talk 17:32, 3 June 2017 (UTC)
- Hm, it's not a "rule" to add all subpages of an event (or a project) to a category: sometimes we just link them from the basepage. At any rate, rather than adding 15 subpages to a category you'd better create a category. Do you plan to do this for all groups of subpages or what? Better tell before doing it, in case someone has comments. :) --Nemo 17:33, 6 June 2017 (UTC)
- Good point. I just looked at the base category and saw that several subpages were also categorized there, and after I couldn't find any related subcategories, I just gave up and decided to throw them unceremoniously in the main category. The plan was just to slap an obvious relevant category and forget about it, and create a category where really necessary. In that scenario, using an existing category (where subpages were already categorized in) would have precedence. —Mainframe98 talk 17:41, 6 June 2017 (UTC)
- Not done It's been a month and I haven't given this a second thought during, so I'll retract this request. —Mainframe98 talk 19:00, 12 July 2017 (UTC)
