अनुवाद शुरू करने के कई तरीके हैं। चाहे आपने पहले से ठान लिया हो कि आप कौन-सा लेख अनुवाद करेंगे, या आप अनुवाद के नए मौके ढूँढ़ रहे हों, या फिर आप पहले शुरू किए हुए अपने किसी अनुवाद को जारी रखना चाहते हों, एक तरीका दूसरे तरीकों से ज़्यादा आकर्षक होगा।
ध्यान रखें कि सामग्री अनुवाद अब भी बीटा स्तर पे है, और नीचे वर्णित एंट्री पॉइंट्स सिर्फ तभी उपलब्ध होंगे जब आप इस बीटा सुविधा को सक्षम करेंगे और आपने लॉग-इन किया हुआ होगा।
योगदान पृष्ठ पर प्रवेश केंद्र
आपका योगदान पृष्ठ अनुवाद शुरू करने के लिए मुख्य प्रवेश केंद्र है। आप इस पृष्ठ पर, ऊपर के तरफ़ अपने सदस्यनाम के पास आने वाली "योगदान" कड़ी की मदद से पहुँच सकते हैं। इस पृष्ठ पर योगदान करने के प्रचलित तरीकों की त्वरित कड़ियाँ होती हैं, जिनमें अनुवाद की कड़ी भी शामिल है।
यह अनुवाद डैशबोर्ड का एक स्थायी प्रवेश केंद्र है, जहाँ आप किसी भी समय अनुवाद शुरू कर सकते हैं।
योगदान मेन्यू
त्वरित और सुविधाजनक पहुँच के लिए आपके योगदान पृष्ठ पर अनुवाद शुरू करने के लिए दिए गए विकल्पों को आप अपनी "योगदान" कड़ी के ऊपर होवर करके एक मेन्यू में भी पा सकते हैं। इस तरह होवर करना समर्थित करने वाले पॉइंटिंग डिवाइसों पर अनुवादों तक पहुँचने में कम समय लगता है।
धूसर भाषा कड़ियाँ
जब आप किसी एक भाषा में सामग्री पढ़ते हैं, आप सोचते होंगे कि यह सामग्री आपकी ज्ञात किसी भाषा में उपलब्ध है कि नहीं, ताकि अगर वह मौजूद ना हो, आप उसका अनुवाद कर पाएँ। इन मामलों में उन भाषाओं को सामने ले आना जिनमें सामग्री गायब है और आप योगदान कर सकते हैं, सुविधाजनक हो जाता है।
आप धूसर अंतरभाषा कड़ियाँ कई भाषाओं में उपलब्ध विकिपीडिया पृष्ठों पर साइडबार की भाषाओं की सूची में पा सकते हैं। साधारण भाषा कड़ियों के विपरीत, धूसर कड़ियाँ गायब सामग्री के लिए है जिसे आप बना सकते हैं।
धूसर कड़ियाँ सिर्फ उन्हीं भाषाओं के लिए दिखाई जाती हैं जिनपर आप पहले जा चुके हैं, ताकि सूची ऐसी गायब भाषाओं से ना भर जाए जिनमें आप अनुवाद नहीं कर सकते।
किसी धूसर भाषा कड़ी पर क्लिक करने से आपको एक डायलॉग दिखाया जाएगा जहाँ आप उसी समय अपने अनुवाद का एक नाम देकर उसपर काम शुरू कर सकते हैं।
अनुवाद डैशबोर्ड
अनुवाद डैशबोर्ड तक सीधे पहुँचा जा सकता है, या फिर उपरोक्त किसी भी प्रवेश बिंदु से। यह वह केंद्रीय जगह है जहाँ आप अपने अनुवा़द प्रबंधित कर सकते हैं, नए अनुवाद शुरू कर सकते हैं, अनुवादित करने के लिए सुझावित लेख देख सकते हैं, और अनुवाद में अपनी प्रगति देख सकते हैं।
सुझाव
अनुवाद डैशबोर्ड में एक सुझाव टैब शामिल होता है जहाँ आप सुझावों की एक सूची देख सकते हैं। यह तब काम आता है जब आपने ठाना न हुआ हो कि आप क्या अनुवादित करना चाहते हैं, और कोई ऐसा दिलचस्प विषय ढूँढ़ रहे हैं जो आपकी भाषा में मौजूद नहीं है।
प्रदान किए जाने वाले सुझावों में पिछले अनुवादों के आधार पर अनुकूलित सुझाव और आपके चुने हुए भाषा के अनुसार सभी साधारण विषय मिले हुए होते हैं। सुझावों को ताज़ा करने पर आप अलग-अलग मानदंडों के आधार पर सुझाव पा सकते हैं।
Invites to translate
The option to translate is also provided at different points where it may be relevant to editors as they participate in other contribution activities. The table below extracts from the Entry Point catalog the different opportunities specifically about translation. The notes include links to the Phabricator tickets and notes on the instrumentation identifiers.
