Wikimedia Interactive Team

The interactive team of Discovery is working on building services for Wikimedia projects to provide new ways to learn and share. Projects like interactive maps and graph services are two examples that are currently underway. The ability to create data sets and share it for reuse across Wikimedia projects is another idea being discussed. See our vision.

Long-term goals

Interactive, article-specific representation of internal and external data sources as maps and graphs. Editors should be able to easily enhance an article with multimedia content beyond pictures and video.

• KPIs to track and understand the use of the tools being developed

• Map overlay editing
• Easier graph creation
