GSoC / OPW IRC AllHands this week
editHi, you are invited to the GSoC / OPW IRC AllHands meeting on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at 15:00 UTC (8:30pm IST, 8am PDT) at #wikimedia-office. We have done our best finding a time that works decently in as many timezones as possibles. Please confirm at qgil wikimedia.org so I can add you to the calendar invitation and I have your preferred email for other occasions. If you can't make it's fine, but let me know as well. We have left a notice to all students, but your help is welcome making sure yours is aware about it. Thank you!--Qgil (talk) 20:36, 24 June 2013 (UTC)
Bootstrap and BootStrap
editHello,
first of all I think I owe you two appolagies, the first is regarding the naming of my extension, though let me assure you this was done in complete inncocent. The second appology is that I wrongly assumed that the comment by Fereal (under yours on my extension discussion page) was an alias of yours, and I was in such a rage over the personal attack about me, that I refused to remove/rename the extension. Cavila has put me straight on that fact, stating "F.trott has always seemed to me like an open, reasonable guy." I trust his/her judgement and will take that on face value and move on as I know we both have more important issues to condent with.
The fact of the matter is that I am a very reasonable person, and in the spirit of keeping the peace between us I am willing to delete the extension from the directory. Though I will add a link to my website on my skin page for people wanting to use it with vector.
Just to say if there is ever any issue between us you are more than welcome to contact me through email.
Give me a couple of days, I've just returned home from hospital and still under the effects aneasthetic and I'll remove it for you.
Cheers, Lee :)

- Hi Lee. I have no problem with your extension and certainly not with you as a person. The only issue for me is that I think it's naming might lead to confusion for users of either extension. At the same time I think it would be great to enable the features of the Bootstrap framework not only for skin developers, but to wiki users as well, and it would be unfortunate if your extension would just vanish again. So, maybe renaming your extension as suggested by Cavila might be an option. (Then again I noticed you use it in a business context and renaming might be difficult.) --F.trott (talk) 20:18, 14 July 2014 (UTC)

Starting conversion of LiquidThreads to Flow at mediawiki.org
editHello. I'm sending this to you, because you've been one of the top 50 users of LQT on mediawiki.org over the last 360 days,[1] and I wanted to make sure that you'd seen the announcement at Starting conversion of LiquidThreads to Flow at mediawiki.org. There are links in the topic-summary at the top, for other discussions (wikitech-l and Project:Current_issues), and a link to the planned process and timeline (scheduled to begin April 6, with smaller conversions at first). Please do test Flow out at Talk:Sandbox if you haven't tried it recently, and give any feedback/suggestions/requests at that main discussion location. Much thanks, Quiddity (WMF) (talk) 23:47, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
A barnstar for you!

I just installed Bootstrap, Chameleon and Lingo, and love them! Come to find out you authored or maintain all three. (And more like Semantic Forms!) Thank you GregRundlett (talk) 16:12, 23 January 2016 (UTC) |
- Thanks! Glad that you like them. --F.trott (talk) 12:54, 25 January 2016 (UTC)
Thanks for SimpleBatchUpload
editIt is simple and effective, thanks. I added the documentation for customization contained in the README.md file of version 1.2.0 of SimpleBatchUpload to the Mediawiki SimpleBatchUpload page. --Dennis J au (talk) 07:02, 7 December 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks, much appreciated! --F.trott (talk) 08:29, 7 December 2017 (UTC)
mediawikibootstrap.org credentials?
editHi, might have been discussed somewhere already - what are the credentials for accessing the mediawikibootstrap.org website in order to download the latest version of the extension?
Many thanks! --Sochin67 (talk) 11:14, 21 December 2018 (UTC)
- That's not my page, sorry.

Extension:Lingo Gerrit patch
editHello F.trott! I was wondering if you could please review this gerrit commit (Phabricator ticket) for Lingo? It appears that the license header needs to be updated to stop Jenkins failing the build, but you should be able to override Jenkins if desired (since its your project). Thanks! --TheSandDoctor (talk) 08:59, 2 January 2020 (UTC)
