Citoid

edit
Hello, Ark25. I recently learned about your efforts related to the automatic generation of references for newspapers - thanks a lot for that. You may have noticed recent efforts by WMF around Citoid, m:Research:Citoid support for Wikimedia references. I am wondering how well Romanian sources are doing in Zotero (Citoid is based on it). I asked a researcher to make a list of the most referenced domains on the Romanian Wikipedia. I hope you'll find it useful. It would be good to start a test page at ro.wp like this one: if ro.wp is interested, maybe it could become one of the next wiki to get Citoid in VisualEditor. @Elitre (WMF): Hello Elitre, I don't know much about Citoid, I don't even know how to use it. But I am interested to help in trying Citoid on RO.WP. What do I have to do for that?

AFAIK, the most popular newspapers in Romania are:

I think those are the most important newspapers to start with. How does Citoid work? Can I add code to teach it how to handle a specific newspaper website? (like for example evz.ro) —  Ark25  (talk) 19:39, 3 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi there, thanks for the quick reply! I haven't had a chance to test Romanian sources yet. You can test them yourself on en.wiki (or here, if you have a beta-cluster account with VE enabled). As about improving Zotero, please see answers to a similar question. :) Hope this helps, --Elitre (WMF) (talk) 08:40, 5 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
