EN->PT translations being published at the EN Wikipedia

Hello. When I tried translating en:Sensuous Chill and en:Saudades do Brasil to Portuguese, the translated versions were published at the English Wikipedia, replacing the articles' content! See here and here. Not a major headache, of course, 'cause it's all easily reversible. But it makes the job unnecessarily more difficult, as we have to copy the translated article and paste it on the correct Wikipedia, and then we need to manually fill the edit summary with the name of the original article and the exact version.

This is very unusual and curious. Thanks for reporting.

When you start a translation from en->pt, what is expected it you get redirected to target wiki. In this case, you will be taken to pt.wikipedia.org and you publish the translation there. This is what we expect and usually happens.

In your case, can you recall if this did not happen and you were doing translation by staying at source wiki(en.wikipedia.org) by any chance? I assume you did not make any changes to the URL mannually.

Now that you mentioned it, I stay at the EN wiki when starting a new translation from EN to PT, though the url ends with "&from=en&to=pt". And I never change it manually.

Have not happened to me (yet), but appears to be VERY annoying...

I'm "resurrecting" this topic in order to report that after some time, this bug happened again here.
