Roy Smith. I'm interested in phab:T72239. See this thread on en for some background. My original thought (before I knew null revisions existed) was to query both the revision and log tables and interpolate the events from them. Looking at the two approaches, I can see advantages to either. The display time interpolation doesn't require changing how data is written, but it does require more database queries at display time. I've been looking to get involved in mediawiki development, and this seems like it might be a good starter project. I'm a recently retired software engineer, most recently with Google. I don't always like to admit it, but I have done some PHP development in my past :-)

For phabricator:T200814, we might need something like a {{USERLANGUAGE}} magic word. Wikibase: Starting with a fresh Wikibase 1.30 docker instance, I'm trying to align properties to external RDF vocabularies. It looks like canonicalUriProperty as documented in options.wiki is what I'm looking for, but testing that by:

Creating properties P21 and P22 with data type string, and P23 with data type external-id
Changing extensions/Wikibase/repo/config/Wikibase.default.php to have 'formatterUrlProperty' => 'P21', 'canonicalUriProperty' => 'P22'
Giving P23 a statement of P21 = https://example.org/url-formatter/$1 and P22 = https://example.org/canonicalURI/$1
Creating a new item Q16 with statements P23 = 123

... results in Q16 getting the URL formatted in HTML to point to https://example.org/url-formatter/123, but not showing any corresponding mapping for P22 when I request the RDF representation in Turtle. What am I missing? Thanks! Dan scott (talk) 14:04, 18 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
