Hi all!
Quick request: We must keep this page in sync with Developers/Maintainers. That page is the canonical location for who maintains what. If anything is added to this page without it being on Dev/Main please do the needful. cc @MHolloway (WMF) for trending edits.

Distinction from Developers/Maintainers?
editIt's seems a little inefficient to keep this list separate from Developers/Maintainers. Is the distinction still useful and worthwhile? Niedzielski (talk) 18:38, 1 May 2019 (UTC)
- +1. It would be great if we could merge this there, to reduce redundancy and confusion.
- Also, any ideas that will help all users of the /Maintainers page would be great. How can we make that page more useful to you/everyone, and thus more likely to be kept updated? Quiddity (WMF) (talk) 21:47, 1 May 2019 (UTC)
- Consolidating the pages would in itself be useful to me personally. I don't have any other worthwhile ideas to share at the moment but will think on it. Niedzielski (talk) 15:41, 2 May 2019 (UTC)
- I'm not opposed to it. The extra columns here and it all being in one place without complex sorting is what's primarily useful for me. If there's a way to retain the data and functionality and do so in a way acceptable for the other page, I'd say go for it. ABaso (WMF) (talk) 10:05, 23 May 2019 (UTC)
- I've started this process by moving the skins section over to test the waters. Edits/reverts welcome (but the former more so than the latter!). Niedzielski (talk) 18:00, 23 February 2020 (UTC)
- Bump. It looks like the only meaningful information here that's not at Developers/Maintainers is the SLA info. I can copy it over, but I wonder how outdated that info is.
- Aside from that, I'd argue let's just redirect the page already, as time will only lead to more fragmentation and confusion on the source of truth. — MusikAnimal talk 17:02, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
- Seems okay to me. @NBaca-WMF @Seddon (WMF) @SLopes-WMF @MarkTraceur okay? ABaso (WMF) (talk) 21:55, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
- Happy to see these two pages merged. From a cursory glance it looks like some of the Structured Content responsibilities are also on one page but not the other, but otherwise, should be pretty-much-current. MarkTraceur (WMF) (talk) 22:07, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
Skins section outdated
editWikimedia Product/Component responsibility#Skins mentions skins that are no longer deployed on WMF wikis, and it probably shouldn't. Whatamidoing (WMF) (talk) 19:06, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
- Just acknowledging receipt. Processing in the background via email. ABaso (WMF) (talk) 19:19, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
- That outdated box is inaccurate. Modern and CologneBlue have not been removed from WMF wikis. They are hidden in preferences. They are retained for existing users and can be revealed using a special query string:
- https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Special:Preferences?useskin=modern Jdlrobson (talk) 19:25, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
- Those 2 skins are still deployed (e.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foobar?useskin=cologneblue), for users who had them set in their preferences, the skins are just not selectable via Special:Preferences anymore.
- But possibly the table needs to be updated to add a row for Skin:Vector/2022? Quiddity (WMF) (talk) 19:26, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
- I've updated the table. Vector 2022 is part of Vector skin. I've clarified that too. Jdlrobson (talk) 19:31, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
