Hello. I'd like to request administrator permissions here at mediawiki.org.
As an introduction, I am MarcoAurelio and I serve as a steward. According to Project:Administrators I am allowed to use my tools in order to perform non-controversial antivandalism/antispam activities and I've done so some times over the years with no complaints about that as of today.
The reason I'd like to apply for administrator permissions is because I am a member of the #Cleanup Phabricator project, and I'm currently working on archiving extensions and skins following Phabricator tickets. This sometimes require deleting pages and doing other translation administration stuff, such as marking pages for translation to propagate changes.
It is my understanding that those activities I describe are not covered by our current Project:Administrators policy. If granted administrator permissions I'll assign myself translation administrator permissions so I can manage translations as well, just in case it was not obvious. If not granted administrator, I at least would like to be granted translation administrator permissions to be able to do at least some stuff; otherwise I can keep posting at Project:Requests if you don't mind.
Thank you for your consideration. —MarcoAurelio (talk) 20:33, 10 September 2017 (UTC)
- I granted translation admin rights since that's a no-brainer and there's no need to wait. --Nemo 18:01, 11 September 2017 (UTC)
