I contribute globally on Wikimedia, and MediaWiki.org is the project I focus most on, second to the English Wikipedia. I have an account on Meta and semi-frequently use WMF Bugzilla. I have experience working with MediaWiki installations and extensions, and as frequently as I can, I provide help to users where I see them requesting it. I'm almost always on #mediawiki on Freenode IRC, and am almost always available for contact. Along with helping users on talk pages, I very often find, revert and report vandalism, spam bots, and spam pages (deleted contribs). I have rollbacker rights on enwiki, and have a good sense of what's vandalism and what is good faith editing. I didn't see a rollbacker group on this wiki, so I figured I would request administrator rights to better-combat vandalism and spamming here on MediaWiki.org. I don't plan to use the administrator rights for anything more than rollbacking, deleting spam pages, and occasionally blocking spambots if they are clearly not a human editor. --GeorgeBarnick (talk) 21:15, 23 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
