Product Analytics/Consultation Hours
When and How to use Consultation Hours edit
The Product Analytics team hosts regular consultation hours for Wikimedia Foundation employees and contractors.
Consultation hours are a great time for you or your team to get guidance on:
- Available data
- Analytics tools (Superset, Turnilo)
- Designing experiments and A/B Tests
- Beginning analysis
- Validating analysis
- Reviewing assumptions
- Ensuring that correct data has been used to inform decisions
Appointments are available in 30 minute increments (feel free to book 2 back-to-back if needed) and can be booked on our Consultation Hours calendar.
When you book, please include a brief description of what you'd like to discuss.

Setting Up Consultation Hours (for Product Analytics team members) edit
Consultation hours are set up using Google Calendar's appointment slots. Information for how to set up an appointment slot is available here: Google Calendar Help: Appointment Slots.
When setting up consultation hours, input the following information:
- Title: [Your first name, last name initial] Consultation Hours
- Recommended total duration: 1 hour
- Slots with duration: 30 minutes
- Set the appointment slots to repeat weekly
- Choose "Product Analytics Team Calendar" as the calendar
- Guest: Make sure to invite yourself! Otherwise, you will not be notified if someone signs up for your consultation hours.
- Enter the following into the description field:
