Translate the ProtectSite extension if it is available at translatewiki.net | |
ProtectSite extension adds a new special page, Special:ProtectSite, where users with the protectsite
user right can block various site modifications.
When the ProtectSite extension is used, it will show up in the protection log (Special:Log/protect) as a protection of Special:AllPages.
When ProtectSite is enabled, it will override the default settings that may already be defined for the timeout period specified.
InstallationEdit
- Download and place the file(s) in a directory called
ProtectSite
in yourextensions/
folder. - Add the following code at the bottom of your LocalSettings.php:
wfLoadExtension( 'ProtectSite' );
- Done – Navigate to Special:Version on your wiki to verify that the extension is successfully installed.
User rightsEdit
By default the bureaucrat group has the protectsite
right, which is required to access the special page.
