editContent Translation allows people to translate Wikipedia articles. Also check out out the newsletter and updates about version 2.
- Better guidance on how to get started by inviting users to add the first paragraph to the translation.
- Support for the automatic removal of old translation drafts.
- Better tracking of user modifications to the content by ignoring the list of references when computing unmodified machine translation.
- Improved machine translation support by correcting extra spaces introduced by Google translate, and avoiding references lists to be sent to translation services.
- Better guidance by showing an option to reset the translation only when the user made modifications to the translation.
- Improved access to data on published translations by fixing wrongly formatted JSON exports.
- Better guidance by communicating session has expired.
- Improved development environment by reducing the building time due to unnecessary code dependencies, enable testing for local wiki restrictions and infrastructure (service runner) updates.
- More reliable rendering of the content by preventing spell-checker and input methods to show for the read-only source article.

Translate
editWikimedia's software is translated to hundreds of languages using the Translate extension for MediaWiki. In addition it is used to translate help pages, newsletters, policies, announcements, banners, etc. It is installed on Wikimedia special projects, translatewiki.net and many other sites. Translate is part of MLEB.
- Languages box should rely on dynamic column sizing, not fixed (T220858)

MediaWiki Language Extension Bundle
editThe MediaWiki language extension bundle (MLEB) provides an easy way to bring ultimate language support to your MediaWiki. The bundle is a collection of a selected few MediaWiki extensions needed by any wiki which desires to be multilingual.
MLEB 2019.04 was released this month. Please see the release notes for a list of changes.
MediaWiki core internationalization
editChanges to translations and equivalent localisation data (magic words, namespace names) are not included in this list. The volunteer translators are updating translations every day to keep up with changes.
