Private Buses

The Wikimedia Developer Summit will be providing round trip private bus service from downtown San Francisco to the Golden Gate Club (map) each morning and afternoon.

Buses will pick up passengers at the times listed below at the Club Quarters hotel entrance (passenger loading zone (white curb) right in front of the hotel). Please note that if you miss the bus or the final bus of the morning is at capacity you will need to find your own way to the Golden Gate Club.

Morning buses will ONLY pick up at the Club Quarters Hotel: 424 Clay St, San Francisco, CA

Evening buses will ONLY drop off at the Wikimedia Foundation Offices: 149 New Montgomery St. San Francisco, CA

From Club Quarters Hotel to Golden Gate Club

Bus Number One: 7:50 - 8:00am, bus picks up at Club Quarters. This bus should arrive at the Golden Gate Club around 8:30am.

Bus Number Two: 8:05 - 8:15am, bus picks up at Club Quarters. This bus should arrive at the Golden Gate Club around 8:45am.

Bus Number Three: 8:20 - 8:30am, bus picks up at Club Quarters. This bus should arrive at the Golden Gate Club around 9:00am.

From Golden Gate Club to Wikimedia Foundation Offices

All three buses leave the Golden Gate Club between 5:30 - 5:45pm and arrive at the Wikimedia Foundation Offices between 6:00 - 6:15pm

From Club Quarters Hotel to Golden Gate Club

Bus Number One: 7:50 - 8:00am, bus picks up at Club Quarters. This bus should arrive at the Golden Gate Club around 8:30am.

Bus Number Two: 8:20 - 8:30am, bus picks up at Club Quarters. This bus should arrive at the Golden Gate Club around 9:00am.

Bus Number Three: 8:35 - 8:45am, bus picks up at Club Quarters. This bus should arrive at the Golden Gate Club around 9:15am.

Bus Number Four: 8:50 - 9:00am, bus picks up at Club Quarters. This bus should arrive at the Golden Gate Club around 9:30am.

From Golden Gate Club to Wikimedia Foundation Offices

All three buses leave the Golden Gate Club between 5:30 - 5:45pm and arrive at the Wikimedia Foundation Offices between 6:00 - 6:15pm

Presidigo Downtown Shuttle

The PresidiGo Downtown Shuttle provides roundtrip service to the Presidio and operates from 5:45am - 9:30 pm. You need a valid Muni Passport (this is not your regular muni pass!!!) which you must buy in advance in order to make it to the Developer Summit in time.

However it is free to ride between  9:15 am to 4:00 pm in case you are coming late or leaving early.

You can pick up the shuttle at the Transbay Terminal or Embarcadero BART Station. Please check the schedule for pick-up times

It is a 10-minute walk from the Presidio Transit Center to the Golden Gate Club.

Bike

We have 60 outdoor bike parking spots at the Golden Gate Club. Bring your own bike lock. You are also welcome to bring your bike to the Wikimedia Foundation evening events.

Walk

It takes one hour and 20 minutes to walk from downtown San Francisco to the Presidio. Sign up here if you want to walk in a group leaving from Club Quarters at 7:15 each morning.

Walks will cancel if it rains.

If you have a car, you can drive to the Golden Gate Club. All day parking will cost you $8 or $8.50 USD. Only coins or credit cards are accepted by the parking meters.

There are multiple lots and street parking locations to choose from within easy walking distance.

Taxi

If you would like to take a Lyft, Uber or other taxi to the Golden Gate Club make sure you enter the full address of the Golden Gate Club. Entering "Golden Gate Club" without an address will get you dropped off 1.5 blocks away for the entrance door.

Assume taxi or uber rides will take up to 25 to 30 minutes between getting the taxi and traffic.
