Wikimedia Architecture Team/Legacy

The Wikimedia Architecture Team was responsible for facilitating the Wikimedia Architecture Committee (ArchCom). ArchCom strives to ensure the Wikimedia development community builds and deploy increasingly excellent software on the Wikimedia production cluster in a consensus-oriented manner. The group strives to offer timely advice on changes to Wikimedia software that may broadly impact software development on the Wikimedia cluster.
Voting members of the Wikimedia Architecture committee (ArchCom) dedicate most of their working day to other endeavors, and are not part of the Wikimedia Architecture Team for budget/management purposes. Rob Lanphier is assigned to providing ArchCom and the ArchCom-RFC process full-time facilitation support.
