Hi Yuri,
I'm too lazy to find the repository of the rendering style. May you point me to the right place?
IMHO the rendering style is too soft. Compare WMF maps to OpenTopoMap. When settlements have the same color like the surrounding land and only differ by the color of the houses, clearness is lost. It's important to see where cities end.

buildings
industrial landuse
industrial buildings
And please show railway lines more prominent and don't omit them in zoom levels 11 and 10. OpenTopoMap shows them even in zoom level 8.

- Kopiersperre, thanks, this is great! But i suspect you might want to experiment with all the styling a bit further once you see what it looks like for various places. E.g. the buildings have two colors, not one. And there is a great tool to play with it - its all described here - you can download the editor and point it to our production server.
