Could you please look at Talk pages project/replying/prototype testing#Reply tool version 2.0, try it out, and let me know what happens? I want to make sure that the directions work before sharing this link more widely.

On behalf of the Editing team and my own team, thank you for your support for the Talk pages project during the last several years. Discussion tools is ready to graduate from Beta Features at all wikis, and while that may be delayed a bit, I am hoping that it will not be too much longer. The team couldn't have met its goals without your help, especially your help in answering questions and making recommendations. The product is better as a result of your participation. Thank you so much. I hope to see you around the wikis. |

Hello
This is your letter from Hogwarts personal invitation to become a community representative in the Technical Decision Forum (TDF).
Your contributions to the movement so far make you an excellent candidate, so we hope you'll consider joining. Please visit the TDF Community Representation page for more information, and email TDFSupport@wikimedia.org by Aug 12, 2022 to be considered for selection. Do note that the requirements listed on wiki so far are just a starting point, they are not set in stone; just provide your name, name of the group you "represent" if any, and a short sentence or two explaining your interest.
For any questions, please post at https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Talk:Technical_decision_making/Forum, or on the related Movement Strategy Forum topic, or simply email TDFSupport@wikimedia.org.
Thank you! --the Technical Decision Forum.
Vielen Dank, du kennst den Grund, Bruder.
Hi!
You get this message because you are an admin on a Wikimedia wiki.
When someone edits a Wikimedia wiki without being logged in today, we show their IP address. As you may already know, we will not be able to do this in the future. This is a decision by the Wikimedia Foundation Legal department, because norms and regulations for privacy online have changed.
Instead of the IP we will show a masked identity. You as an admin will still be able to access the IP. There will also be a new user right for those who need to see the full IPs of unregistered users to fight vandalism, harassment and spam without being admins. Patrollers will also see part of the IP even without this user right. We are also working on better tools to help.
If you have not seen it before, you can read more on Meta. If you want to make sure you don’t miss technical changes on the Wikimedia wikis, you can subscribe to the weekly technical newsletter.
We have two suggested ways this identity could work. We would appreciate your feedback on which way you think would work best for you and your wiki, now and in the future. You can let us know on the talk page. You can write in your language. The suggestions were posted in October and we will decide after 17 January.
Thank you. /Johan (WMF)

Thanks, we solved that few months ago :-)
Hi! I think you're the right person to ask about this. As you can observe in pages like Reading/Web/Desktop Improvements, the language selection box generated by the <languages /> tag doesn't look too good in this narrow mode. This can be fixed by adding .mw-pt-languages { width: auto }
in the CSS that defines the narrow view. Could you please do that? :-)
i'm confused. It looks pretty good for me. Do you have a screenshot or something ? https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/file/upload/
Here: https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/F31474655
It looks the same to me in both Firefox and Brave (the 2 browsers I use regularly).
ah that is because of my responsive Vector gadget
But it is not clear to me how/where you enabled that....
It's enabled in my gadgets here, though I have no idea _when_ I actually did that.
k.. i think i fixed the gadget for this website
Great, thank you very much! :)
