Mona the Vampire Wiki edit

Hi! I'm trying to create a Mona the Vampire Wiki, a wiki concerning the fiction franchise consisting of a television series, a book series, a flash website, and a series of DVDs of the episodes of the series. There is already a wiki on Wikia, but this wiki is a mess, I do not have admin privileges, I do not like their theme, and I do not like Wikia in general.

So I'm trying to create a website, www.monathevampirewiki.com, .org, or .net, with a better coverage of the material. I want the wiki to have templates that are complex like Wikipedia's templates. Most importantly though, I would like to make this a multilingual wiki, especially containing the following languages; Danish (first and foremost), French (second most important), Spanish, German, Dutch, Polish, and Romanian. I do not have the domain yet, but once I get the domain name, I plan to add the site to my server. I also want to add my own designed logo and background theme for the wiki, including making these marks:

into a small picture of a bat for each of those dots. Just to make it a bit more fun.

I need your help though. I need you to help me to start this project. Is it okay if other MediaWiki site members help me create some of the templates as well since that may be hard for me in some cases, since I do not know advanced wikicoding. Ready Steady Yeti (talk) 02:12, 7 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Deletion of Mona the Vampire Wiki edit

Hi. MediaWiki.org is meant for documentation, discussion and development of the MediaWiki software; therefore pages on proposed wikis is out of scope. If you wish to seek help creating the wiki, you're better off asking for help at the support desk or reading the manual. Thank you for understanding. Off-topic edit

Hello Ready Steady Yeti. A page you recently created, User:Ready Steady Yeti/Kat2Media, was outside of MediaWiki.org's scope and has been deleted or will be deleted soon. In future, please remember that MediaWiki.org exists solely for the documentation of the MediaWiki software and that off-topic material is not accepted here. If the content was important (for example, maybe you're just on the wrong wiki or confused about how to set up a wiki) then don't worry! Just email the deleting admin (through Special:EmailUser, or another admin if you get no response) to request a copy. Thanks for your understanding. -- Tegel (talk) 18:51, 8 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
