  • Introduction doesn't make your target group totally clear. Are you after bugfixing, or also after triaging? Text feels like it's development related (Gerrit etc, bugfixing), so followup comments on that:
  • For "4. If you have questions," I'dd add "specifically to the bug report" and explain where to go for general development related questions instead. Let's avoid "I want to checkout the MediaWiki code and become a hacker, please tell me how" comments in Bugzilla.
  • Could be added: "If you end up not working on the bug, please 'Assigned To' -> edit -> Reset Assignee to default" to avoid cookie licking / to make sure that somebody else can work on it.
  • point 7: "just attaching your fix to the bug report" -> and add the "patch-needs-review" keyword in the "Keywords" field if possible
  • between points 7 and 8: Once your patch is in Gerrit and awaiting review, paste the link to your patch in Gerrit in the bug report (and add the keyword "patch-in-gerrit" in the "Keywords" field if possible). --Malyacko (talk) 12:53, 13 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
