Sockpuppetry discourse edit

Please stop this repetitive posting of the sentence «Please read this Wikipedia:Sockpuppetry#Inappropriate_uses_of_alternative_accounts, in particular the section Creating an illusion of support». First of all, English Wikipedia policies don't apply here; you need to link Project:Sock puppetry instead.

Second, it's a bit ridiculous for someone with a WMF signature to talk about "illusion of support" when clearly there is no support for what the Wikimedia Foundation is doing, as evidence by WMF's own w:en:Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Deployment of Vector (2022). Hi @Nemo bis: , thank you for writing me, and for the correct link. I apologize if someone felt attacked or hurt by my message. It wasn't a tentative to diminish the effort of the community to communicate their negative impressions or the quantity. As you said, it is ridiculous. Let me explain what I think is a misunderstanding. I write this message only twice and I've stopped. I reconstructed the thought that prompted me to write this message: firstly I notice a conversation where someone was saying clearly having posted the same message in different Village pumps. I thought that not only it was not useful to answer to the same message twice, it was also making more noise. More people doing this = more delay to answer to all. Then I've seen some messages from completely newbies in the same discussion. There was the possibility that someone, frustrated by the change of the skin and because of the delay of our answer, would create different accounts just to try to be listened. To increase the possibility to be listen. It should be also done in good faith, when you are a newcomer you don't know rules. But writing messages with more accounts is not improving the possibility to be listen to all, just noise. At this moment, I thought it was a good idea to post this message. As I said, I posted it only twice. After the message of an other user I considered different interpretations of my message.--Patafisik (WMF) (talk) 07:58, 20 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
