Meant for discussion of the proposal

Thank you Parth for your proposal. There are a quite few things that needs elaboration. I am marking some of these here along with questions that will guide you:

  1. Deliverables: This needs to be described with much more details. Think in terms of what you as a user would have expected to see in the final dashboard.
  2. it would display the spreadsheet on the whole with a better UI - better how? what will it contain? how will it be drawn and designed?
  3. Also there would be search functionality in the matrix along with filters for convenient viewing of the results - what would you be searching? What filters would be available?
  4. Adding data visualization functionality - What will it display? How will the data be organised for the display
  5. Optimizing the search - What are the benefits.

I suggest that you give some more thought to the implementation plan. All the best. --Runab WMF (talk) 15:55, 29 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Sorry for the inactivity have been real busy with examinations.

Displaying the spreadsheet through a table on the web-page beats the purpose of having a dashboard - the tables are not going to be the only things in the dashboard i think going with the tables would allow us to implement lazy loading or provide a page wise system to display. Also i think tables will provide the easiest means to make a responsive dashboard. --Parth4992 (talk) 13:41, 8 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
