Mass pings
editHello, Pamputt. I saw your comment about "ping massif" no longer working, which is a problem for the Tremendous Wiktionary User Group. Here at MediaWiki.org, there is another option, which you might like better: Special:Newsletters.
The newsletter process is: You "create" a newsletter and get people signed up. Whenever you want to "ping" them about a page, then you send it to them (Echo/notifications) as a "newsletter". Any page on this wiki can be the "newsletter" (including, if someone wanted, this thread). If you're interested, Extension:Newsletter is probably the place to start. - Hi Whatamidoing, thanks for your proposal. I started a discussion on the TWUG talk page to get comment from the TWUG members. Thank you. Pamputt (talk) 05:14, 17 May 2019 (UTC)
- If you want to see how it works, then I suggest signing up for the "Newsletter newsletter". We can send a test message out with it if people want to see how it works. Whatamidoing (WMF) (talk) 18:31, 20 May 2019 (UTC)
