Localisation restructuring edit
I hear you're going to work on this, is there some specification/workpad/whatever, or where can I add suggestions? We have a couple items since a while ago and I don't know in what "queue" to put them:
- Help:Extension:Translate/Translation_best_practices generic and brief; finding (or creating on Wikibooks) web version of the manual (for general use, all translation and software projects)
- We should document how to write a good context message. Make a mediawiki independent version? There is not enough for developers (or anyone else) who wants to write the qqq messags describing how a given text is used, what it appears with, the various "gotchas" that can cause a translator to get it wrong because they are missing critical information about the string and its use
- translatewiki:Translating:Localisation_for_developers#Message_documentation and Localisation#Message_documentation will contain only the technical implementation MediaWiki-specific instructions [check what they have now (seems mostly generic)]
