Hi, I just reverted your edit, because it will break and is most definitely not recommended. Can you explain why you would want to do something like that? Is your use-case similar to https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T152263 ?

It was intended for extension dependency loading. As is see this become part of the current extension.json implementation.
