Hi NemesisAT, you answered my question related to Merge wiki family into one wiki last year. Unfortunately we couldn't finish the job. Now the Mediawiki 1.18.1 has to be upgraded due to the outdated operating system version. I'm an experienced user and admin in both the Wikis, but not able to perform the necessary workload on the server. So I've to explain the procedure in such a way that a webadmin knows what I mean.

We tried to import the (text-)wiki into a new 1.34.2 installation which was successful, but importing the media files from the other wiki we lost all descriptions, user information and so on. Furthermore some files were not imported. I'd be grateful for any help. Best, --ThT (talk) 17:33, 9 October 2020 (UTC)

Hello, I can try and help. I know when I merged the two sites, I had to reupload the iamges manually. I'm not sure how you can automate that. But the description pages should still be there. If you know which pages are missing, I think there's a way to only export a certain part of the wiki. Is this what you're looking for?
