Hi!

My name is Rachel and I have recently finished my GNOME FOSS Outreach Program for Women internship at Wikimedia doing browser test automation. I worked on automating the new VisualEditor feature of Wikipedia using Cucumber/Ruby/Page Objects. It was an amazing experience! Check out the VisualEditor project proposal that I wrote to apply for the OPW program, the test plan I wrote for testing Visual Editor, and the wrap-up blog post. Here is a nice write-up that I got on the Wikimedia blog.

Currently, I am continuing to contribute to QA efforts writing test cases as a volunteer for the QA group.

I live outside of Boston, MA in the EDT time zone, with my husband and our 2 children. I can be found at rachelqa99 [at] gmail [dot] com on email, and I am also on the QA mailing list. The link to my blog is here: Notes from the Bleeding Edge, where I detailed my adventures with the Visual Editor project. Please feel free to contact me if you want more information about my internship and/or the OPW program.
