About me
I was introduced to the world of Wikimedia when I joined the team at Open Foundation West Africa in 2023. Since then, I have developed a passion for creating and sharing content on Wikipedia and its sister projects. As the coordinator for the Africa Wikimedia Technical Community (AWMT), I am dedicated to fostering collaboration, innovation, and growth within the African Wikimedia community. My role involves supporting technical contributors, organizing events and training sessions, and working to ensure that our community has the resources and knowledge needed to thrive. I am excited to continue contributing to the Wikimedia movement and to help drive the advancement of free knowledge across Africa.
My work
As Coordinator of the Africa Wikimedia Technical Community (AWMT), my major responsibility is to empower technical contributors across the continent. I organize and coordinate a variety of activities to promote skill development and creativity, such as seminars, training sessions, and hackathons. By facilitating communication and collaboration among community members, I hope to foster a supportive climate in which information and resources can be freely shared.
