About me

Hi there. I am an undergraduate at National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra, India, pursuing Information Technology. I'm a full-stack developer and interested in contributing to the technical areas of MediaWiki.

My work

I will be working on T274635 (Develop a UserScript/Gadget tutorial on MediaWiki.org similar to Wikipedia:The_Wikipedia_Adventure) as part of my Google Summer of Code proposal.

Period Summary
May 18 - May 31 ( Yes Done ) Joined Zulip, learned about Phabricator and Gerrit, set up Gerrit SSH, gained in-depth knowledge of ResourceLoader, Action API, OOUI, user scripts/gadgets, GuidedTour extension. Analyzed TWA and wrote first blog post.
June 1 - June 14 ( Yes Done ) Set up the testing environment for QUnit, researched game themes for the Tour, implemented the landing interface of the Userscript Tour along with creating multiple custom templates, created guiders for Mission 1 and wrote second blog post.
June 15 - June 28 ( Yes Done ) Completely implemented Mission 1 and landing interface as per the guidance, created more generic templates for missions and started working on Mission 2. Wrote third blog post.
June 29 - July 14 ( Yes Done ) Completely implemented Mission 2 and fine-tuned Mission 1. Wrote fourth blog post.
July 15 - July 26 ( Yes Done ) Implemented Mission 3 and fine-tuned Mission 2. Wrote fifth blog post.
July 27 - August 9 ( Yes Done ) Implemented Mission 4 and updated Mission 3. Wrote sixth blog post.
August 10 - August 16 ( Yes Done ) Improved the code, updated all the four missions, tested 'The Userscript Tour' on Test Wikipedia, written documentation of the project, created all the required templates, wiki pages, and userscripts on mediawiki.org. Wrote Final Report.
