Marta Malina Moraczewska

Hi! My name is Marta. I'm a translator, writer and enthusiast of open culture, especially within visual arts. I studied English at the University of Łódź and Curating at Jagiellonian University. I've been an active Wikipedian since 2014. Between 2014 and 2019 I worked as GLAM-Wiki coordinator for Wikimedia Polska. I took part in the planning and implementation of many projects based on cooperation with cultural institutions (GLAM-Wiki), including the Ritual Year with Wikipedia, Ethnography of the Carpathians, Faras in Wikipedia and others.

I co-edited History and Media – an online publication keeping track of developments in open culture and digital humanities. Recently I wrote about OpenGLAM for Creative Commons on Medium and in Kalejdoskop Kultury. I'm also the author of a guide to educational materials from Polish institutions available on the Internet called → “School Navigator” (2020).

From October 2021 till March 2022 I was working as a Wikipedian in Residence for the Auschwitz Jewish Center in Oświęcim on the “Digital Heritage – Memory for the Future“ project.
