I am a contributor to over at Wikipedia.
In 2014, I completed a PhD at the Knowledge Media Institute at The Open University, UK. I'm also on the board of directors of PlanetMath.org where I've done a lot tons of "meta" work on that project, which informed my thesis, Peer Produced Peer Learning: A Mathematics Case Study. My thesis research was part of the groundwork for the Peeragogy project convened by the virtual communities pioneer Howard Rheingold.
I was then a postdoctoral researcher, first in the Computational Creativity Group at Goldsmiths College, then in the Social Machine of Mathematics project (and DReaM group) at the University of Edinburgh.
Since I often make statements like "for example, on Wikipedia..." or "but they don't have ... feature on Wikipedia" or "I'm not sure you can do ... with a wiki" -- I figured I should join the research network here to check my facts, and to see what I can contribute!
I'm reachable via email.
