Looking near the footer of a page like Skin:Vector, it is now clogged with categories automatically generated by this template. Would anyone object to making these categories hidden? e.g. [[Category:Skins included in wiki.gg]] would be edited to add "__HIDDENCAT__".

What is the problem, or problems, that hiding these categories would help to solve?
They're redundant to the template right above them. They clutter up the category list, making it harder to find useful info.
I think just about all the skin (and extension) categories are redundant in one way or another; I don't know what the useful category information is that these usage-related categories make it harder to find.
I think the category section is useful and should be kept to a manageable size. Whether an extension is used in some particular wiki farm or package is of low interest. I think you should recuse yourself from this decision because two of your sites are involved.
For the record, I'm only connected to one item in the "Used by" template, Canasta.
Canasta site says that Mywikis is a sponsor.

I am going to ask you flounder ceo to do the same: please do not make any changes without some kind of consensus. Your actions seem to be motivated by your own wiki being excluded from this template, and that makes it difficult to accept your behaviour as unbiased.
I personally do not really care which way this goes, but I will point out that large and unwieldy sets of categories exist with and without this template, and while adding more to those category lists doesn't make that situation better it does not make it dramatically worse either.
If you do not care, why are you reverting? Do you really think that [[Category:Skins included in wiki.gg]] is something that adds value to the Skin:Vector page?
Im opposed to hiddencat'ing these categories. They seem just as useful as the other categories. If we are to mark things as hiddencat i would rather we adopt some sort of consistent guideline on what should and should not be hidden first.
p.s. i would also ask Flounder wait for positive consensus before implementing controversial changes, since it seems you have quite a few views here which aren't widely shared.
