This thread will address the general expectations about the project. What is your opinion about the approaches outlined above? Which one do you consider it to be more useful for you?

A picture speaks a thousand words. Perhaps we should try to narrow this down a bit.

Wikidata, metadata; their user-interface to the upload target when added to an article or project.

This would incur after being uploaded when chosen to be added.

or, I read an article, and I have an image that fits perfect. Jimbo say edit the article and bam, editor-owners may or may not get rough. The foundation says let's all play fair. the upload wizard could address potential information correlation.

I use the hunt and peck system of deciphering user-interfaces. perhaps captions on the interface would help the pecking order.

Options will include more results from those not prone to being diligent.
