@Whatamidoing (WMF): This page defines arwiki, frwiki, huwiki and nlwiki as the “partner wikis” for the whole project. However, phab:T265953’s goal is to find partner wikis for the new discussion tool. Are these four wikis only partner wikis for the reply tool (in which case they should be marked on this page as such), or is the task already resolved?

If I had a firm answer, then the documentation wouldn't seem so confusing right now.
It's possible to have different partner wikis for the next part. Wikis that are interested in the Reply tool might not be as interested in the New Discussion tool. The New Discussion tool is likely to be more interesting to wikis that are trying to support newcomers. It might be less interesting to more established communities. It may also involve more "subjective" work. I expect fewer clear-cut technical problems and more need for qualitative, design-focused feedback. Because of that, I have been thinking about inviting some of the Wikipedias that are already working with the Growth team (such as the Czech Wikipedia, so pinging @Martin Urbanec and @Patriccck).
Do you think that the Hungarian Wikipedia will want to be involved? (I do hope that at least you will be, even if you don't think your home wiki is as interested.)
I think that Czech Wikipedia could be involved. :-)
I hope huwiki will be involved. (I don’t know how we decided on participating in the reply tool, but as far as I remember, @Samat: organized it. By the way, we also have (some?) Growth tools.) I personally certainly want to be, although whether I will be, depends on how much time I’ll have in the coming months, of course.
Considering this page, what about changing The four partner Wikipedias for this project
to The four partner Wikipedias for the reply tool
(or something like that, I’m not sure if this is the best way to say this in English), and not saying anything about the new discussion tool?
That's a good idea, Tacspacsi. I've just made that change.
I believe that the Hungarian Wikipedia was invited because Samat talked to Peter at a face-to-face event. Peter was impressed with Samat's interest and ideas. And, I will add that you, @Pasztilla, Samat, and others have really been incredibly helpful and your advice has been important to the devs. I really appreciate it.
Thanks for the edit.
Sadly talking face-to-face is not really an option this year… So I took the first step instead of Samat, and proposed to become a partner wiki for the new discussion tool.
Thank you so much for starting that discussion. ("a fejlesztőcsapat annyira értékeli a velünk való munkát" – so very true!)
