Hello. I want to translate from Spanish to English https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Porter_Garden_Telescope .

The problem is that it always detects a previous unfinished translation of an older version of the main article that I had saved as a draft and don´t let me make a clean new start with the latest version in Spanish.

I have tried to delete de translation by: "Discard Translation", clean web browser cache and click "New translation", appears the sugestion "Recently edited by you - The Porter Garden Telescope" but always loads the old traduction.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Thanks for the feedback, @Majozd.

Unfortunately this is a current limitation of the tool. I created a ticket to capture the issue. Since it requires to change the data model of the tool it may take some time until it can be fixed (our current focus right now is on the new version of the translation editor).

Discarding the translation and creating a new one with a different user could be a workaround, but I understand how this may not be very practical.

Thanks for the explanation and the idea of a different user.

Create a copy of the article source code in Your user namespace and translate that one. Note: In the user namespace, exclude the categories immediately. In the destination language project, when published order a revision import form the article You have found.

Thanks for the alternative. I have a copy in my namespace https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usuario:Majozd/PGT , with no categories, but I can´t find it in "ContentTranslation" tool search. I miss something? Maybe I must change code?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
