<br> doesn't resolve into a space, but "". So if I have a page with aa<br>bb the hovercard is not "aa bb" but aabb.

Hi, please could you give us a link to an article where this is happening? That way we can more easily understand the context of why a forced linebreak is used within the lead sentences, and also more easily reproduce the results. It would also help if you could explain how often, and/or in what circumstances, this technique is used. Thanks!
I don't remember the page I was on. Just look at what page has "<br>" at the start and hover on it.
