GWToolset (of GLAMWikiToolset) is een Speciale Pagina extensie. Het hoofddoel van de extensie is het toestaan dat GLAMs de mogelijkheid hebben om massaal inhoud (afbeeldingen, video's en geluid) te uploaden naar Wikimedia Commons gebaseerd op de respectieve metadata (XML); de bedoeling is om het toe te staan voor een brede variëteit van XML schema's. De extensie voert de gebruiker door een aantal stappen die HTML-formulieren voorstellen om een batchproces samen te stellen voor het uploaden van inhoud en metadata in de wiki, waar dan per item in de upload een mediabestandspagina wordt aanmaakt. The main goal of the extension is to allow GLAMs the ability to mass upload content (pictures, videos, and sounds) to Wikimedia Commons based on respective metadata (XML); the intent is to allow for a wide variety of XML schemas. The extension goes about this task by presenting the user with several steps, represented by HTML forms, in order to set-up a batch upload process that will upload content and metadata to the wiki, which creates individual mediafile pages for each item uploaded.
