Wiki? Does that mean "Wiki page"? "Wiki pages"? To me, the section looks like a "List of Phabricator projects". It's in a wiki page, yes, but that sounds redundant. AFAIK we don't have wikis or wiki pages on phabricator, because the app is disabled. --Nemo 22:21, 6 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Thanks. Fixed. --AKlapper (WMF) (talk) 02:14, 7 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Updated how often?

edit

How up-to-date is this page? Is it updated automatically/frequently, or just once in a while? What is the value of this page vs. just going into phab itself and listing all active projects? --KSmith (WMF) (talk) 20:29, 31 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

@KSmith (WMF): The page header says it's automatically updated, and the History says this happens every week. ;) Regarding the value: Some people like the idea that it is not a flat namespace (e.g. by categorizing skins and extensions in a sub-level though that's of course not very consistent as we don't force every extension to have a "MediaWiki-extension-* prefix in its primary project name), plus not having to run some queries to check how consistent the use of certain project labels and colors is but being able to see this all on one page. This wikipage might also be the easiest way to see recently created projects, I have to admit. --AKlapper (WMF) (talk) 22:12, 31 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

i want to delete my account. Thanks. HamidTechnoServices (talk) 18:02, 14 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

@HamidTechnoServices: I don't see how this is related to Phabricator projects? :) If you have an account on Wikimedia Phabricator, you will need to tell us your username there. --AKlapper (WMF) (talk) 19:16, 14 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

5 empty headers and all the unknowns

edit

I see from the history it's been that way for a while (so I'm guessing hard to fix!), but I'm wondering what it would take to fix the 5 initial empty sections, and maybe also the "(unknown)" in most of the rest of the headings?

Or, if not feasible (without great effort) maybe we could add a hatnote/banner at the top (replacing the {draft}?) to acknowledge the bugs and tell readers -- "See the #project (unknown) section for the major listing. See https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/project/query/active/ for the alphabetical list directly." -- or similar. Cheers :) –Quiddity (talk) 08:05, 10 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Quiddity: That's probably a good question for anyone (not me) who knows and understands the codebase at https://github.com/wikimedia/labs-tools-wikibugs2 ? --AKlapper (WMF) (talk) 07:43, 20 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
Aha! Thanks. Pinging @Valhallasw: for possible input (it looks like https://github.com/wikimedia/labs-tools-wikibugs2/blob/master/taxonomy.py is related) or further delegation :) –Quiddity (talk) 07:54, 20 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
Yep, this seems an issue with the project type mapping; phabricator used to report the icons used (briefcase, truck, etc), and those were mapped to human-readable entities (the five empty headers). However, Phabricator now reports tags as 'project', 'folder', etc, and those would need to be added to the list at https://github.com/wikimedia/labs-tools-wikibugs2/blob/master/taxonomy.py#L44. I'll fiddle around with it later tonight. Valhallasw (talk) 17:52, 20 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
Return to "Phabricator/Projects" page.
