Pilot wiki

Pilot wikis are wikis who have a close collaboration with a Wikimedia Foundation Product team, in order to test new products.

These wikis are early adopters of a feature. They are involved in projects' definitions and early review of the projects. They also test all prototypes first, meaning that they agree on getting products that might not have all the needed features, or that can evolve rapidly.

In order to have a better communication process with our pilot wikis, the product team can rely on part-time contractors, known as Product Ambassadors. These ambassadors ease the communication between the product team and their community. They help the product team to understand the diversity of our wikis, and they assist their communities in using the new tools.
