Special:LintErrors/missing-end-tag-in-heading is not in this list

edit

Special:LintErrors/missing-end-tag-in-heading is not in this list, and it does not appear at en:Special:LintErrors. Is someone here able to fix that omission? – Jonesey95 (talk) 15:22, 7 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Fostered rendering transparent content

edit

There's a new error to translate: "Fostered rendering transparent content". Its qqq links to Help:Lint errors/fostered-transparent, but there's nothing there.

Also, it's quite weird in English in general and sounds kind of run on. Perhaps it could be rewritten as "Fostered rendering of transparent content"? Just a guess. And maybe with an explanation it can start making sense. Amir E. Aharoni {{🌎🌍🌏}} 11:51, 28 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

I think this lint is a work in progress, the relevant task is T371142. It's certainly a garden-path expression, but I believe the intended meaning is content that is both fostered (as in [1]) and rendering-transparent (as in [2]). Or in other words, content that's in the wrong place, but it can't be seen on the final page, so the problem is of very low priority. Matma Rex (talk) 23:45, 28 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Oh, so perhaps it can be changed to "Fostered rendering-transparent content", with a hyphen? Amir E. Aharoni {{🌎🌍🌏}} 23:50, 28 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Amire80: I would encourage you to interact with the team developing this on Phabricator, and not the help documentation, if you want them to see this in the next few months' time. Jdforrester (WMF) (talk) 14:02, 29 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Yes, the hyphen is correct ABreault (WMF) (talk) 21:35, 29 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Here's a patch for that https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/c/mediawiki/extensions/Linter/+/1057960 ABreault (WMF) (talk) 21:39, 29 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
I added some content Help:Lint_errors/fostered-transparent. Sorry, the patch merged before I had a chance to create it. ABreault (WMF) (talk) 21:36, 29 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Return to "Lint errors" page.
