New section is a special page that makes it easier to link to editing a new section on a page.

When used on a global user page, this wikilink, contrary to an external link, creates a new section on a local page.

• Special:NewSection/Project:Sandbox redirects to creating a new section at Project:Sandbox.
• Special:NewSection/User talk:Example redirects to creating a new section at User talk:Example.
