Extension talk:QuizGame

Q: Same issue as previously reported for PollNY. The number of possible answers is apparently 8 (as defined in QuestionGameHome.body.php //Add Quiz choices). In practice, only 2 seems to be definable. Did I miss something? RiskManager 07:19, 7 October 2011 (UTC)

Loading...

When trying to answer quiz questions, I see Loading... instead of the question. Question titles are available at Special:ViewQuizzes, and I've checked that the question and answers have been written into the database, but the extension can't seem to then retrieve the question. Try Rel 1.25. I've got the same problem when I use the Rel 1.23 extension. (for MW 1.23.1) Since the extension is backwards-compatiable, I tried Rel 1.25 extension, the loading... is gone. Background: Mediawiki 1.23.1 QuizGame Rel 1.25 or Master 20150430

One minor problem: Special:QuizGameHome,Special:ViewQuizzes, etc do not show in Specialpages. I can only get to these pages via input full address into address field. This problem brings some inconvenience.

One serious problem： When I play the never ending quiz, I can not select any option or click the "skip" button to skip this quiz. After I click any option, the count-down stops without any outcome. The system just freezes. And I check the database. mw_quizgame_answers and mw_quizgame_user_view remain unchanged. This problem just killed the extension. :-(

I'd suggest upgrading your MediaWiki to the latest stable version (1.42.3); older versions of MediaWiki are not tested and not supported. Based on some tests that I ran, both locally and on the public Labs wiki for testing social tools, QuizGame is working just fine under MW 1.25+. I used Internet Explorer 11 under Windows 7, what browser and operating system did you use?

It's true that QuizGame's special pages don't currently show up on the list of special pages. This is technically very easy to fix; I just haven't found a suitable category for them yet (any suggestions? Let me know!) and creating a new "category" for them has seemed like an overkill, but I'm very interested in hearing your thoughts on how to address this. --Jack Phoenix _(Contact) 10:52, 8 July 2015 (UTC)

Where is the documentation for this extension?

I don't see any links to documentation for QuizGame anywhere on the extension's description page. Especially end-user documentation - how do people write content for this thing? --Robkelk (talk) 15:04, 3 February 2018 (UTC)

Duplicate project?

Here is another proposed extension, Quiz, is growing up. are these 2 projects being duplicate? Should they be merged?
