The EditUser extension displays a preferences form (like the one in Special:Preferences, Special:EditUser) that allows editing the preferences of other users.

This extension cannot be used to change a user's password or e-mail address.

Usage edit

You can call the page via Special:EditUser/username to directly edit a user, or Special:EditUser to display a search form. Users with the edituser-exempt permission cannot be edited via this form.

Installation edit

  • Download and move the extracted EditUser folder to your extensions/ directory.
    Developers and code contributors should install the extension from Git instead, using:cd extensions/
    git clone https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/mediawiki/extensions/EditUser
  • Add the following code at the bottom of your LocalSettings.php file:
    wfLoadExtension( 'EditUser' );
  •   Done – Navigate to Special:Version on your wiki to verify that the extension is successfully installed.

Configuration edit
