Note about extensions in this category

While I was checking video extensions, which resulted in creating ⚓ T349154 Archive the MultimediaPlayer extension (wikimedia.org), I found this category. And I have some suggestions:

1. Let's merge Mp3Handler to MP3MediaHandler, on way that Mp3Handler gets archived and MP3MediaHandler gets suggested as an alternative
2. Recheck SoundManager2Button as it's using Flash
3. We should also check if there is an alternative for MP3MediaHandler, because I found flash-related stuff in the code, what made me to think that it should be archived as well, or rewritten if there is no alternative (what I would love to do, if someone doesn't have a second/different opinion).

I'm happy to discuss all this.

@Kizule: Hej hej, what's to "recheck" exactly and why? What makes you think that SoundManager2Button "uses" Flash? As long as it does not "require" Flash I see no problem to solve. Thanks, --AKlapper (WMF) (talk) 08:27, 18 October 2023 (UTC)

Hello! I didn't know that there is a GitHub repository. Page here points to Gerrit, and repository in it uses Flash. Check swf - mediawiki/extensions/SoundManager2Button - Gitiles (wikimedia.org).

Anyway, GitHub repository version was updated last time before 6 years. Kizule (talk) 15:29, 18 October 2023 (UTC)
