Wikimedia Engineering/WMF Tech Days 2013/team introductions

Objective:

• Putting faces to names - lots of folks have joined recently and don't really know who everyone is
• Know what being done and why (long-term goals): how you are going to impact the wikis, and the world :-)

Structure:

1. Pooled teams that are matrixed in, to explain functions ("what is Product", "what is UX") and function-level goals (e.g. cross-cutting UX initiatives like Agora)
2. Cross-functional teams, with people who feel they're primarily part of a team (50% of their time or more) showing up here again

Each team member briefly introduces themselves by name/role. Speaker per team describes team's current work and long term objectives. Engineering Managers stand with teams they support.
