Extension:Adiutor inquiry edit

Hi! I've just stumbled upon the Adiutor extension. Since I've authored some gadgets for plwiki that do the same things as the extension does (for example nominate for deletion etc.), the idea to have a common tooling for the content maintenance tasks seems compelling to me.

Was Aduitor meant to be used on specific wikis with all the features hard-coded into it or it is configurable so that it could be adapted to other wiki needs? I mean, for example different rationale presets for speedy deletion, different article issues to be specified for a template, steps like notifying wikiprojects about a nomination (that could be non-standard) or even custom routines like nomination for featured article (we've got a gadget for that as well and I didn't see it on Adiutor screenshots).

I'm asking out of curiosity, because I believe wikis could benefit from using a single solution for community processes where every wiki has own set of gadgets now (and often they are using old technologies like jQuery.ui). And yeah, I'm aware that designing a truly global and customisable solution could be very challenging – thus I don't expect you to do it now just because I'm asking :).

And, well, I have to admit that everytime I've browsed through all those OOUI documentation pages just to make a window with some controls, I felt that there has to be an easier way. Cheers, Msz2001 (talk) 17:32, 27 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello @Msz2001,
