A cheatsheet like http://kefletcher.blogspot.com/2012/09/creating-and-editing-math-can-we-get.html might be easier to implement and go a long way towards enabling non-mathematicians to edit math successfully. Pkra (talk) 15:45, 12 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Storing mathematics in the database edit

I assume that for the foreseeable future you will store mathematics as <math>LaTeX stuff</math> pairs? How do you plan to convert a point-and-click interface into LaTeX? Your idea of clicking on a symbol and populating the LaTeX box with the corresponding LaTeX source code is nice, but machine-generated markup can get rapidly unreadable. BTW it has been claimed that under Flow the database will consist of HTML5+RDFa, not wikimarkup. Do you have any idea how that will interact with mathematics markup under either VE or under the fallback non-VE editor option? Spectral sequence (talk) 19:48, 12 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
