Indic Wikimania Bangalore meetup brought us more beautiful experiences, a great opportunity to collaborate, network, learn and discuss about the broader objective, projects and strategy of the Wikimedia Moment. This year’s wikimania local meetup was one of the most successful meetups ever.

We were able to work on 8 different projects and resolve 24 Phab tasks including designing, bug fixes, tools and scripts. It was so joyful to meet and learn from the Wikimedians from Global Communications, Partnerships, Developers, Designers, New comers and Local communities.

We were able to introduce the newcomers with the Wikimedia Moment, engage them in contributing to the technical projects and participate in various sessions such as Introduction to Wikisource by @User: Satdeep Gill in an online mode, Design principals at Wikimedia Foundation by @Sudhanshu.G, Brainstorming the technical needs of the communities by @User:Srishti Sethi and an overview on Language Engineering Team and its projects by @Abijeet which gave a very nice insights to all the participants.

Also special thanks to @User: Wassan.anmol, @User:Jayprakash12345, @User: KCVelaga_(WMF), @User: Sohom_data and @User: APatro (WMF) to mentor the participants on several wikimedia projects such as Book Uploader Bot, VideoCutTool, Image Bulk, Indc WIkiSource Stats, WikiFile Transfer, Indic-OCR, Wikisource contest tools. It was overall fun and joyful, I can't wait for more such events in upcoming months!!
